Verified Data Sharing enables citizens to provide trusted information to authorised services without repeatedly submitting documents or disclosing more than an interaction requires.

Identity information can be confirmed against the National Register and the authoritative sources under EBC's responsibility, or presented by the citizen as a trusted digital credential held in the TRIDENT ID Wallet. Records held by other institutions remain with those institutions.

Every interaction is governed by a defined purpose, applicable policies, the citizen's approval where required, and audit controls.

Designed for Citizens

TRIDENT makes it easier to share trusted information with greater clarity and control. For example, a citizen can confirm their age, address or eligibility for a service without uploading a complete identity document or entering the same details again.

Consent is specific rather than general. Approving one service to confirm one detail for one purpose is not a standing permission for anything else.

Government entities and participating organisations can integrate Verified Data Sharing into applications and service journeys, requesting the specific verified information a legitimate purpose requires.
