TRIDENT Mobile ID provides a secure and consistent way to access participating services and confirm important actions from a smartphone.

It connects the citizen's TRIDENT digital identity with participating online services, supporting strong authentication and additional confirmation when an interaction requires a higher level of assurance.

You may also see this capability referred to as the TRIDENT Mobile ID Authenticator. The two names describe the same thing. "Authenticator" points to what it does: it confirms that the person accessing a service or approving an action is really them. That is a different job from holding and presenting credentials, which is what the TRIDENT ID Wallet does.

Designed for Citizens

Citizens access participating services through one trusted identity, rather than a separate username and password for each. For example, a citizen can sign in to a Government service and approve an important request or transaction directly from their smartphone.

When an approval is requested, the citizen sees which service is asking and what action it wants to complete, and can approve or reject it.

Ready for Services

Government entities and participating organisations can integrate TRIDENT Mobile ID into new and existing services. This shared capability supports secure sign-in, stronger authentication for sensitive actions, and transaction approval according to the purpose and risk of each interaction.
