Trusted Credentials for Everyday Life

The TRIDENT ID Wallet gives citizens a secure way to receive, hold and present trusted digital credentials from their smartphone.

It holds the citizen's foundational identity credential, along with credentials and proofs derived from information held in the National Register, such as proof of age, senior status or address. Which credentials are available, and how they can be used, is governed by the authority responsible for issuing each one.

Designed for Citizens

Citizens present only the information a particular interaction requires. For example, a person can prove they are over 18 without revealing their date of birth or the rest of their identity record, or provide a trusted proof of address without uploading supporting documents.

Before anything is presented, the citizen sees what is being requested and confirms or declines.

Ready for Credential Issuers and Services

EBC provides and governs Barbados' foundational identity credentials. Other authorised Government agencies and participating organisations can use TRIDENT Shared Services to issue credentials from the records they are authoritative for.

Examples include digital birth certificates, mobile driving licences, health credentials, educational qualifications and CARICOM Skills Certificates, alongside other credentials the Government may define and enable.
