Start with a trusted identity
An approved organisation can integrate TRIDENT capabilities according to the purpose, risk and policies applicable to its service.
A bank, for example, may use trusted identity verification as part of an onboarding journey. An existing customer may use TRIDENT authentication to access a participating digital service or provide stronger confirmation before a sensitive action.
These are examples of how shared capabilities can support an organisation’s process; the organisation remains responsible for its regulatory obligations, business rules and final decisions.
Verify information with greater confidence
Participating services will also be able to work from verified evidence: identity details confirmed through TRIDENT with the customer's consent, or credentials the customer presents from their Wallet. Records held by other institutions stay with those institutions.
Instead of relying exclusively on uploaded copies or manually entered information, an authorised interaction can use trusted evidence originating from an approved source or credential issuer.
The information available always depends on the purpose, permissions and policies defined for the service.

TRIDENT Mobile Authenticator creates another opportunity for participating organisations: allowing customers or users to authenticate through their trusted TRIDENT identity instead of requiring a completely separate identity mechanism for every connected service.
Stronger confirmation can be requested for higher-risk actions, helping organisations combine convenient experiences with security appropriate to the transaction.
